Cheers ...

... there are plenty of places to enjoy live music in Penang ... and one of them, is at Lio'z ... its concept is similiar to Hai Lo Cafe ... and most important,they served variety of halal and non-halal drinks ... :D ~simple combination of guitar and crooner together with sweet and soft lady voice~ ~i wonder if the Music, Brew and Lifestyle translate correctly ... :P~ ~this ILLUSION cocktail is a mixed of lemondae and vodka~ ~Fruit juice, SAGITTARIUS ... obviously, someone is from that period ... :P~ ~SHANGRI-LA cocktail ... a mixed of red wine and don't know what fruits ... ~  Maybe after a few drinks ... well, everyone kind of high high dei ... while dedicating song, we write some compliment about the girl singer ... at the back of the paper ... :D ...and of course, the girl did notice about it ... and sheepishly said thank you to us ... :D ... so while she sing our requested song, i try to take photo 'openly' la ... :P ...somehow, she notice i took her photo ... then after she finished her song, to our surprise, she told us that she didn't look photogenic while singing ... and ask ME to take again ... so i DID ... :D ... but sorry, it's quite blurry ... yeah, i should have go nearer and 'accidentally' ask her name and contact number as well ... what a miss of opportunity ... kau sai ... ~ok ok, maybe she is average ... bt i swear, she really look prettier that night...after a few drinks of non-halal stuffs la ... haha~ 

Early Sunday ...

... and it's really really very very early .... aiya, siapa suruh betting with Ervin that whoever failed to reach Pekaka's Maxim Dim Sum before 6:30am will need to belanja ...we lose anyway ... he was already there at 6am ... darn it!!! ~are we for real ... it's just 6:20am ...zzzZZZ~ ~here we are ... dim-sum-ing with the Sun no way to be seen ... zzzZZZ~  So, straightaway after the 'zzzZZZ' dimsum, i dozed off like a baby ... :D ~... with an incredible 'E' sleeping posture ... Banana Leaf ...

... remember the first time i was introduced to this Indian 'very spicy' food by my buddy, in which he called 'banana leaf' ... then, i wasn't a fan of Indian food, to be honest, before i came to Penang until Nasi Kandar, Maggi goreng and all the roti-roti becoming my 'supper companion' ...  So once a while, i will come over here ... to get the mixture of Morro, Rasam and Dhall curry ~Passion of Kerala ... no idea what Kerala mean ... ~ ~A Veggie Set with crunchy papadom, cucumber, don't knw what, biji nangka and pumpkin~ ~Side Dishes ... Fried Sotong and Chicken Masala (Trouble Chicken??)~ Some tips on table manners ... :D It is important to fold the banana leaf after the meal ... but the question is ... which way should we fold ... paiseh-ly to admit, i usually fold the leaf towards me which is terribly wrong ... you should fold it the other way which show your compliment to the food and chef ... because it mean, "I WILL BE BACK ... " :D ~Such way of folding meants for funeral purpose ... i think is the opposite meaning of "i will be coming back" ... :S~

Weekend Plan ...

... it's been 2 weeks since i play mahjung with my kaki ... so this coming weekend, mahjung game plus alcohol testing ... are waiting for me ...  :D So ... wish me good luck ya ... may i be the ultimate winner ... ngek ngek ngek ... :P ~bad hand? nope ... i won ... but kai wu ~ ~this Amarula taste exactly like Bailey ... very 'milk-ily' kau ... betul-betul kau~

... was introduce to this wonderful dining place by my 'si tao po' ... somewhere around 2006.. .... and never stop 'paying visit' ever since ... ~kocha menu with taiwan map on it~ ~serene surrounding with some 'ghost-floating-alike' farmer attire~ ~yummy ru rou fan~ ~paper steamboat ... ~ 

USM Convo ...

... it's been hectic weekend ... attending SiewB's convocation at USM. I believe it will be my last convo attending ... for good next 10 years :P ... Anyhow, coming back to USM again for convo, filled me with nostalgia ... For example ... ~searching around for coursemates ... to take photo and show off ... ~ ~laughing at coursemate's ugly flowers or small dolls... ~ ~take photos with family, friends and coursemates ... relentlessly, even under hot sun~ ~received flowers ... it's compulsory that family and boyfriends or girlfriends need to prepare it~ ~... and more flowers ... the more you have, it means you have more friends ... *geleng kepala*~  

1 month old ...

... it is Kang Tze Xin's one month old birthday ... hhmmm ... or born-day :P His dad is one of my best friends during Uni time ... ... today (14th Aug) as usual listening to 988 or MixFM while doing my work, suddenly, out of the blue and very 'unusually', popped up a MSN message from lin ...  lin: wei .... me: ang jua ... (hhmm ... seldom kacau me wo ... wanna pinjam lui??) lin: very sorry ah ....  me: wat's wrong?? (did i lend her money, and she can't return??) lin: HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!! (with a lot paiseh faces) me: waaaahhhhhhh ( WAAAAHHHHHH) ... blah blah (sorry la) ... blah blah (my bad la) ... blah blah (paiseh) even though she is 14 days late ... and i can still forgive her ... but the following conversation with her later on ... make me .... (-_-)||| me: wat's make you remember my bday ah lin: ooohhh ... i am thinking whose bday on Aug mah ... me: ..... (wat?? how about jan-july??? ....she must be jz came out from hiding :P)

Could you spot anything wrong with my bike?? Yes, my left handside mirror was gone ... celaka But why not both side leh ... Luckily that rascal didn't tangan gatal-gatal and pluck off the others accessories. Now, i really have a hole to fill ... both my wallet and this ... :S

... , yes,it's one of my weakest link, Mandarin ... That day was Friday and as usual, having difficulties thinking on what to eat for dinner ... well, since Khee love to eat porridge, i asked around office to find out where can get the best porridge in Penang :D ... straightaway, they told me that there is one famous hawker stall along Maclister Road selling chu chap chok (variety pork porridge) ... So after work, i start my chok hunting ... after agak-agak arrived around that area, i spotted this stall ... but i am not sure whether selling chok or not ... so, i went to investigate ... ~hawker boss uncle was jampi-ing~ Dammit!!It's all in mandarin ... the only words i understood was tabao (somemore gt translation mah ... take away) ~got sell chok or not ... don't joke la ... i jz want chok~ So, i went to ask the aunty assistant (since the boss was still busy jampi-ing) Me: Ni you mai chok mah?? (broken mandarin) Aunt: ???? ... lu ai moi, tu, ... (a string of unfamiliar hokkien words) Me: ...eeehhh .... ta bao yat bao chok ... (die die use cantonese) Aunt:???? .... lu ai moi, tu (repeating the same powerful hokkien mantra) Me: .... (-_-)||| .... (should i just cabut ...) As i was preparing to berundur, come my hero who save my day ... it's the BOSS!! Boss: (finally, finish his jampi-ing) ... Nei ooi ta bao chok, hai mai (you want take away, is it ... of course, in cantonese) Me: .... (deng, you know how to speak cantonese ...walao, speak early ma) ... hai, ng yiu nooi chong (yes, don't want organs) From that moment of paiseh, i determined to kick my Mandarin ass up ...

Weekend Dinner ...

... was spent at Auto City, Juru. There's so much good and 'branded' restaurants, really one is spoilt for choice ... from fast-food to numerous of foreign and local restaurant. Nandos, Subway, Seoul Garden, Taoz, ... etc etc ... since it's Olympic month, we go for chinese restaurant i.e. Jiu Jiu Szechuan Cuisine (sound like banana restaurant to me :P) ~that jiu is different to that jiu ... mandarin pronounciation please ...~ A typical chinese way of dinner ... sam choi yat tong (three veggies and one soup) As there are all Szechuan foods, you only expect hot and spicy ... and i did, having 'bombing time' during 'big business' trip ... is just like, holding a burning charcoal between your asshole ... :P ~simply deliriously delicious~  

Why My Pisang leh ...

Saw this eye-catching advert outside a very well-known rebranding company ... Being a guy, when you saw something like this ... how could you ignore it ... it's a serious challenge, you know ... sound like "wei, brand-lah your kkc" ... how am i supposing to response ... what's wrong with my banana??? do i need to replace a new one?? or change its outlook ... from yellow to red? or change name to ba-sang or pi-nana?? i guess, experts are always know what is the best for you .... so don't wait till yours become lan jiu ... :P  ~Pisang: Can i really become more lovable ... ~

I hope she is doing fine now ...

She left after a month i left ... and she gave me this as my farewell present,  reminded me to put it at my cubicle so that i would remember her ... :D ~i think ... it is a kitten ... a very delicious one :P~ Ever since then, i heard no news from her ... but she promised, she will keep me update someday ... so i wait ... patiently wait ... Just to let her know, her little kitten is not alone ... cause i gt a 'little' shit looking after her ... hehe ... ~call me ... Mr Najis ... haha ... ~

Unknown Sports ...

From the beginning of the year 2008, one of my resolutions is to learn new sports game ... all the while ... futsal, football, squash, swimming, badminton, bowling and pingpong are my only way to shed a few kilos, until ... ~preparing for outdoor futsal~ One day, one of my best buddy called me up and asked me if i "uh eng boh" (free or not) and want me to try a new sports game called ... floorball (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floorball) The reason he gave, tak cukup kaki ... (that's ... what friends for ...@#&$% ) So, i gave a try ... even with zero knowledge on this game ... and a day before the training, i just type floorball at googles, wikipedia and youtube and do some 'sub-conscious mind' research ... well, at least not to embarassing myself mah ... It is exactly the same thing like ice-hockey; the only differents are there is no ice and players need not to wear skate. Since i never watched how ice-hockey played before, i just imagined playing like our hoki way ... but it's not easy and the hardest part, as usual, is how to control the light-soft-hollow-plastic ball with your stick, i mean, the long-plastic-floorball stick!! And i am still struggling with it ... so, wish me good luck ... :D ~we played at badminton court~

Surprise gift from ...

Venice, Italy ... a friend of mine, my ex-colleague, is currently working in Milan for 2 months (business trip). Her boyfriend was there too for 2 weeks ... such a lovely couple ... As usual, i 'accidentally' reminded him that there is some 'big event' coming on end of July ... luckily, he was smart enough to catch my hidden meaning ... So, this is one of the presents i received 'flying' all the way across Hindi Ocean to me ... ... a small cute (while some say scarry) masked doll. Every Venetians will wear these pucat and expression-less mask during Carnival of Venice.  pissst ... do you notice those eyes are blinking ... :P

My Dinner at TGI ... a special one

It was a special dinner with Khee, San, SiewB, Ervin and Mavis at TGI last week  They choose TGI, i think, is because of its unique decoration, enviroment and most important ... it's 'special' way of celebrating ... BIRTHDAY!! First, they gave you 'cute' balloon ... with the impromptu cartoon drawing by one of their staffs called Alfred. Of course, one of them got my name on it ... but very paiseh la, adult already and they asked me to hold the balloons for the entire night!! Then came their tradition way of celebrating ... they will shout out loud ..."Who's in the house" a few times ... and you have to stand up on the chair with all the staffs surrounding you ... giving you a 'virtual microphone' and ask you to sing a song ... After that, they will sing you a birthday song with 'weird' tempo ... make a wish and finally blow the cake from a meter away ... phew ...  The cake, was bought by my gang ... it's Baskin Robbin's Fudge Crunch cake :D (well, everyone can't stop themselves before i manage to get a proper shape photo) That was my second cake of the day as earlier on, i went out lunch with my ex-colleagues at Tsuruya Japanese restaurant. May, CT and HP presented Jenny's cake for both me and Vivi. These are some of the presents i received from my friends ... :D
